Lake George, New York . My home region.
As with many, this led to my training and work in Functional Nutrition. There was no turning back from the life and work changing training and experiences I had acquired. I initially trained among the first fifty dietitians with Dr. Jeff Bland (founder of Functional Medicine), and the Institute for Functional Medicine faculty in 2002. Later on I was among the first graduating class of the world renowned “Integrative and Functional Nutrition Academy”. I continue to train under pioneers in this work with the ongoing continuing education required to practice in my field.
Upon returning to Saratoga Springs in early 2000, I introduced Functional Medicine and Nutrition in the first upstate NY private practice’s. I started at Saratogas oldest natural foods store, and at two multi-generational compounding wellness and Functional Medicine pharmacy’s. I eventually had a private practice in the historical Roosevelt Bath House, based in the Spa State Park. I consulted at a mental health practice located on Saratoga’s first equine therapy farm, where I also provided weekly equine care for several years to retired Saratoga Race Course horses. I eventually moved to Saratoga’s historical downtown, above Saratoga’s oldest pharmacy; and at Saratogas oldest integrative health center. During COVID, I pivoted to a tele-health practice.
I have consulted in conventional healthcare, and assisted with introducing Functional Nutrition at two international spa and retreat centers: Kripalu and Canyon Ranch, and at two medical offices. I have presented at corporate health events; including a yearly women’s retreat at the historic Sagamore Resort, on Lake George, in Bolton Landing, N.Y.
I created an integrative health symposium at the Historic Gideon Putnam resort, in Saratoga SPA State Park. The program included twenty exhibitors, nine integrative health speakers and a “Food as Medicine” luncheon. It was highly attended and well received by the community.

Grace Farm
“An Adirondack sanctuary for rest, renewal, and remembering why you’re here.”
Nestled in the heart of Saratoga County, in the Adirondack Park, Grace Farm is a living, breathing example of sustainable harmony — where community, healing, and the wild spirit of the land, equines, and humans converge.
Here, the rhythm of nature guides everything we do:
🌿 Eco-homes cradle our team in off-grid comfort.
🐎 Equine therapy reconnects soul to soil. 🧑🏻🌾 Community Supported Organic Farm: connects the body to health and healing.
🥗 A farm-to-table restaurant nourishes both body and conscience, while promoting the importance and practicalities of local organic foods.
🌎 Destination small group retreats welcome seekers, dreamers, and change-makers to rest, renew, and reimagine what’s possible by the guidance of “outward bound” leaders.
More than a farm — it’s a movement.
More than a retreat — it’s a return.
Welcome to Grace Farm, where sustainable living sets the standard, and community is cultivated like the soil — with care, intention, and love.

I introduced over a dozen integrative health modalities with associated providers in a healthcare system and surrounding regions. Based on staff interest, I created reiki and massage training opportunities for nursing in the ER and OR units. These treatments where practiced on patients, and in a private area for staff. I taught nutrition classes and initiated hiking events for young people. I obtained first-time program funding for my work from a wall-street based entertainment executive. While hired by a global corporation, I was nominated as “Dietitian of the Year”, and awarded for “Creative Programming” and “ Dietitian in Media “ .
Following my first decade of work, I discovered symptoms of fatigue that I was not able to acquire a diagnose for, despite several months of conventional testing. I was led by colleagues to seek out Integrative and Functional Medicine physicians. My testing results showed I had mercury toxicity, accompanied by more than twenty diagnoses’s, all connected to nutrient deficiencies. I collaborated with an Chinese Medicine fourth generation physician which led me to seek more answers at an Integrative Health center at Harvard, and finally at Dr. Mark Hyman’s UltraWellness Center. I resolved conditions under the care of Functional Medicine and Nutrition, and Biological Dentistry providers. This was a pivotal time in my personal and professional life. Had I not gone this route, I would not have functioned well the rest of my life.
As it has with many, this led to my training and work in Functional Nutrition. There was no turning back from the life and work changing training and experiences I had acquired.
